I was a born leader—once labeled a bossy cow in elementary school, back when girls weren’t allowed to lead, only to comply. That early misnaming stayed with me, sharpening a lifelong passion for good leadership and for the power of stories to shape what we believe is possible. That passion has carried me into both research and writing, where I explore how leadership truly works—and how it can work better for all of us.

I have led diverse organizations for more than twenty years. After serving as a Director of Operations in the private sector, I founded my own consulting company to help individuals and organizations discover pathways to both individual and collective thriving. Today, I design programs and learning pathways that support adult learners in completing their degrees and excelling in a dynamic, demanding workforce.

I holds a BA in English, an MA in Communication and Leadership, and a PhD in Leadership from Gonzaga University. My research sits at the intersection of leadership, storytelling, and organizational performance, with a particular emphasis on collective leadership, team effectiveness, and the narratives that shape how leadership is understood and enacted.
